Veterinarian
Animal Behaviourist
Dog Trainer

  • In 2003 I graduated from University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, with DVM degree.
  • In 2005-2008 I did postgraduate studies in Canine and Feline Diseases at Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
  • In my practice, I’ve met a lot of owners who had problems with their pets’ behaviour. Both people and animals suffered because of it. This motivated me to study even further.
  • I completed COAPE Course of the Practical Aspects of Companion Animal Behaviour and Training and I am certified companion animal behaviourist.
  • In 2010 I became a member of SBiT COAPE Polska; in October of 2011 I gained status of behaviourist practitioner DipCABT (COAPE). From 2012 to 2016 I was honoured to be the chairperson of the Association of Behaviourists and Trainers COAPE Polska.
  • I am a member of Polish Ethological Society, Polish Small Animal Veterinary Association, Federation of European Companion Animal Veterinary Association (FECAVA) and World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA).

I counsel, publish, train,
and most of all I care about animals.

I’ve been gaining knowledge for many years, also to share it during lectures for behaviourists and veterinarians, for example within Academy of Behavioural Medicine. In 2012-2016 I was a lecturer of COAPE Course for companion animal behaviourists. I counsel pharmaceutical companies in the field of behavioural medicine. I participated as a researcher (in compliance with VICH GCP GL9 Studies) in a multicenter international clinical study of a new drug for separation anxiety. One study was related to a new medicine for separation anxiety, the other to another indication for an already registered and established antianxiety drug.

I am a scientific co-editor of the book "Medycyna Behawioralna Psów i Kotów" ("Manual of Canine and Feline Behavioural Medicine", eds. Debra F. Horwitz and Daniel S. Mills), an author of numerous publications in the field of canine and feline behavioural disorders, as well as a populariser of knowledge about cats and dogs’ behaviours on TV programmes.
In 2010 I became Alteri Trainer (dog training trainer) and in August of 2011 I completed II degree Alteri Instructor Training Course.
I am a co-founder of School for Dogs QLdog, which specialises in working with dogs with behavioural disorders.

I run a Veterinary Clinic DogMed together with my husband, where I take care not only of patients’ health, but also of both patients and their owners’ comfort (Fear Free Certification Programme).
For nine years Yzzy, female flat coated retriever, helped me at work and in gaining knowledge about dogs; and my son Michał and cat Zuzia make sure I don’t work too much.

The better we understand animals and the more we know about them, the easier we can help them. By working as a doctor, behaviourist and trainer I have an opportunity to watch dogs’ nature from every perspective.
